New York                                                                        24th July to 3rd August

As our 3 month adventure is coming to a close, we thought 10 days in New York would be a fitting end and we weren't disappointed.

Our serviced apartment is half a block away from the centre of Times Square on 44th Street. A perfect location, as this part of 44th Street is very quiet and only a 160m walk to the hustle and bustle of Times Square, close enough to duck back to use the toilet!

We met up with Julie, a friend from our 2002 Antarctic cruise, and had dinner with a couple we met during our Alaska cruise.  Although we were right on Times Square we ventured further afield to local bars and restaurants.

We leave NYC today to fly to Shanghai for two nights, then onto Sydney to arrive on the 7th August. Into the freezer, which has us concerned as New York has been around 32°C with a reasonable amount of humidity, Shanghai is currently 38° with almost 100% humidity and Sydney is freezing ranging from 7° to max. of 15°C.
