Rawnsley Park - 24th May
It was a short but scenic drive into the Flinders Ranges,
and now we’re camped in Rawnsley Park Station.
It’s a large sheep property which has been done up to cater for tourists,
so it has a restaurant, powered campsites, laundry and spectacular scenery
outside the caravan door. There’s a
fireplace between our two caravans which we sit around each night with Roy and
Marg.
We’ve been on a couple of long bushwalks and yesterday Roy
& Marg did a scenic flight over Wilpena Pound and across to Lake Eyre.
Alan and I have done a similar flight before so we went for a 17 km bike
ride. The wind was blowing a gale
so it was a really tough ride, but a great way to work off the extra food and
drinks!
